Supporting launch and product development efforts


A blockchain and crypto-focused startup in its infancy was seeking publicity to support launch and product development efforts.


Objective

Introduce the brand to the media, specifically within business and financial publications, to build brand awareness for future partnerships and ultimately set the stage for the launch of its first-of-its-kind product. 

A breakthrough technology company was in the process of developing a new product offering, differing from anything else on the market. Focused on decentralized technology and commodities, the company straddled the traditional and alternative finance divide.

The company engaged ERPR to introduce the brand to key audiences and introduce the media to the new crypto product the company would be launching. The objective of the PR campaign was to build brand awareness, fuel momentum for product development and establish key partnerships. 

Strategy

The company’s offering was a first-of-its kind cryptocurrency, a fact that we leveraged to pique initial media interest. As a newly constructed, hybrid-format currency, the product also came with a learning curve, with some education required for audiences to fully comprehend the offering.

To address this, we positioned the company’s founder and CEO, who has an impressive and notable resume, as the spokesperson to provide insight into the future of the crypto markets.

Packaging this advice as both thought leadership and news surrounding the brand’s launch, we were able to secure feature and byline placements that laid the foundation for the product’s introduction to the marketplace. 

Results

Over the course of two months, ERPR developed key media relationships for the firm and secured a number of trade and top-tier placements.
