Building upon an established media profile


A well-established technology company that achieved “unicorn” status wanted to build upon its established media profile. With strong recognition in the trade publications, they sought solid relationships and opportunities with top-tier media outlets and business publications to establish a similar, yet elevated recurring coverage.


Objective

Increase media presence, specifically with top-tier media and business outlets, while developing a profile with both enterprise companies and the investor community. 

The firm engaged ERPR to secure opportunities with national publications that serve broad business and consumer audiences. They also tasked ERPR with developing and expanding thought leadership profiles for the company’s executive suite. 

Strategy

With a significant volume of top-tier press coverage already secured, along with a consistent stream of trade publication coverage, ERPR’s challenge centered on creating continued relevance while simultaneously breaking through an already crowded landscape. 

Leveraging content developed by the company’s internal team, coupled with proactive outreach relative to trending news stories, ERPR designed a campaign to build key relationships and coverage opportunities with national publications and expand the brand’s opportunities for incoming requests.

Equipped with a vast amount of enticing content and several executives, ERPR crafted several storylines to pique the interest of national media. We also focused on establishing key relationships between the brand and key media outlets, resulting in numerous recurring placements and incoming requests for press coverage.

Results

Over the course of eight months, ERPR developed vital media relationships for the firm and delivered a range of recurring opportunities with strategic business outlets and national press.
